Estate of Tammy's Ex Sues SHO Over 'George and Tammy'

The estate of Tammy Wynette's fifth husband George Richey is suing Showtime over their miniseries "George and Tammy," about the country singer and her third husband, fellow country singer George Jones, claiming misrepresentation of Richey's character and "unjust enrichment"--the series is based on a book written by Georgette Jones, Possum's only biological daughter, and she and another daughter of Wynette signed an NDA in 2019 stating that they would not make further statements about Richey--the Richey estate claims that the series is violating the NDA:
