Yep, watched this last night after seeing a WashPo article. One of the more memorable interviews I've ever seen.

And thank you NBC or whoever for combining them into a single YouTube post, rather than three separate segments ... I wish others would do the same *cough Colbert cough*.

Mulaney is a likeable, funny guy (in public, at least) ... I hope things go better for him.

I watched this episode of the show (I’m just switching over to YoutubeTV and decided to DVR Meyers, and this was the first one in queue). It was touching because of how obviously Meyers cares for Mulaney, and Mulaney is so likable it is easy to be on his side. 

But it also captures a moment of fragile hope, which I have lived many times, where you are so relieved that someone is doing better and full of positive intention, and yet aware at some level that 9 months clean post rehab is a poor predictor of long term sobriety. 

I am rooting for him, but I hope this episode is not getting mentioned again in six months after a public lapse (or worse). If Olivia Munn was my daughter I would be worried she was getting so involved with someone so early in this process.

I guess "likeability" is in the eye of the beholder. I couldn't stand the guy before, and the tawdriness of this whole thing has reduced even that low opinion.

I wish him happiness and sobriety, but if I go the rest of my life without seeing him again, I'll be a happy man.
