'Simpsons' Characters Play MNF on DIS+, ESPN+ Dec.9--Worst Gimmick Ever!

In the footsteps of last year's Jacksonville-Atlanta game in London real-time animated as if "Toy Story" characters were playing it, the MNF simulcast of the Cincinnati-Dallas game will be presented as if it was being played in Springfield, with CGI versions of Our Favorite Family--Bart on the Bengals team, Homer on the Cowboys team (and no doubt plenty of opportunities to say "D'oh!"), Marge and Lisa as Erin Andrews (if she was still at ESPN) and Maggie running the SkyCam--unlike last year's game during the strikes, the cast and writers of "The Simpsons" will be involved in this one:

Of course, the regular Joe Buck-Troy Aikman version will be on ABC and the Worldwide Leader and the Manningcast will be on the Deuce. And the heading is a tribute to the cry on the Internet that "The Simpsons" has sucked since the start of Season 11.
