Fallon Gets Another Showrunner

It's East Coast Jimmy's fourth showrunner in three years, as Jamie Granet-Bederman switches to "developing future projects" for Fallon and is replaced by former Drew Barrymore showrunner (and exec at her Flower FIlms) Chris Miller:


It's obvious that the Fallon formula has gotten stale, but do you really want to see him interviewing Julia Ioffe on the Ukraine?  Maybe they should just hand the keys over to Questlove and have him come up with a music-oriented "Tonight Show."

I don't think that's the show he wants to do, and I don't think that's the show his audience wants him to do. If that's the show NBC really wants there, they can move Seth Meyers from 12:30. (And, if they're desperate, Leno's available.)

His primary audience is the same as Colbert's, and Ioffe was on Colbert. Sorry, but that's what NBC wants to do, altho it might have to do with not handing over more control to Lorne. That, and/or the fact that events in the news can and will pre-empt LN programming on all networks.     B
