Guild wants a content-analysis tool used to determine the value of each show to its platform, 2% of which would be paid to the union. Alliance says the "concept is unworkable."

Alliance is offering the same pay increases recently given to the directors. Guild says they do not keep pace with inflation.

Alliance agreed to guild's proposal re AI, but Duncan Crabtree-Ireland said the devil is in the details... "[t]here are huge gaps you can drive a Mack truck through."

Guild wants to limit self-taped auditions to five pages of material; Alliance offered an eight-page limit.
