Something about Olbermann’s repeated protestations that their relationship was “normal” seems odd. It reminds me of people who continually say they are not a racist when nobody is really asking. Also, he cites as an example of how normal they were that they liked dogs. I like dogs… but Hitler also liked dogs; it didn’t make either of us normal.
As for who gives a damn, certainly not me, but Olbermann contributed to campaigns he was supposed to be covering impartially, and while telling anyone who would listen that nobody should ever do business with or trust Trump, he owned property in one of Trump’s buildings. His past history with Nuzzi is relevant in that context.
