(I am having cataract surgery early tomorrow. The recovery will only take a few hours at most, and I can go back home thereafter. Another operation will be done on my 'good' eye next week, I was told)

All the best Bob. Just had a friend go through that. Always scary to have them screw around with your eyes, but they do that procedure a lot and outcomes are good.

Procedure went well, but for the time being my life revolves around multiple types of eye drops, which still have to be administered  following it; apparently another doctor in the same practice will determine if I'm going to be doing this for multiple weeks.     B

My brother had it done, and administering the multiple eye drops (on different schedules, of course) seemed to be the worst thing about it. Best of luck with that.

But he was thrilled at being able to easily read again, and he said everything was brighter and more colorful afterward.

I think they said it's the most commonly performed surgery of all.

I chickened out of the second procedure for now, but am still expected at the same place where the first one was done for a consult with the surgeon.   B
