Following the Jets-Indianapolis game on Sunday Night Football and the local news--it will be recorded before the game, but he'll probably record something that says each team won--guests scheduled are Jon Hamm,  Lindsay Lohan and Pharrell Williams (to promote "Piece by Piece" going to Peacock?):

I saw an update from their X account that they’ve opened their waiting list for audience tickets for 11/17.

I suppose the question is WHY? Is this just a make-good for the likely preemption of Tonight on Election Day?  Or is something else afoot?

Putting Lorne Michaels on notice that they're willing and able to do a reverse 1975 and replace "SNL" with "The Tonight Show."

(In case anyone here is unaware: "SNL" was officially a replacement for a weekend "Tonight Show" rerun on NBC's schedule. A big part of the reason "SNL" is done live and has "Saturday" in the title is that many affiliates were either delaying the rerun past 11:30, or running it on Sunday night instead. And it's 90 minutes long because that's how long "Tonight Show" episodes were in 1975.)
