Mr. Jones went to graduate school at UNC, so an anti-Duke take is not a big surprise.  I am curious as to whether his perspective on Coach K is as heavy as his perspective on Stringer Bell from The Wire (very strong hatred).

I grew up in the Kentucky sphere of influence and a friend’s wife grew up in Lawrence KS. Kim and I did not set up a temporary museum exhibit in Harlem to exclamate the point that Krzyzewski* was part of the last bulwark protecting white supremacy from the demographic shifts of college basketball.

(*BJ, where my $100 at? I spelled it correctly without looking.)

HBO has this segment up on the YouTube.  As a consistent Duke hater (even before I lived about 10 miles from the Maryland campus for over 20 years), I enjoyed it very much.  While my hatred of Duke doesn't come from the same place as Mr. Jones, I think it's in the neighborhood.

That said, I felt the museum portion of the piece fell flat.  The VO audio wasn't great, and the 'docent' didn't sell the bit very well.  It might have been more effective done 'Daily Show' style, where you play it straight and style the exhibit around all the coded language and special treatment alleged around this team.  For a cherry on top you can hit hard with the general underperformance of Duke players that get to the NBA.  (Yes, there are exceptions, but I think more often than not, being a good player at Duke often led to a mediocre at best professional career.)
