"Lost" "Sesame St" episode returns

Way back in 1976, what-was-then-still CTW taped and at least once telecast an episode where Margaret Hamilton reprised her "Wicked Witch" role, a segment where someone on the Street apparently swiped her broom, and spurred angry calls from parents whose kids were frightened by her Wizard persona... a Redditor discovered the video, which came about a year after she visited Mister Rogers in an episode devoted to acting, appearing without the getup before putting it on...

My mother had us watch Oz from very young ages. I was never afraid of the witches, but it took me through around 4th grade to get comfortable with the flying monkeys…

I’ve seen this clip repeatedly over the years… I’ve seen it the last few days posted as “lost”… it is exactly as lost as the episode where everybody has to tell Big Bird that Mr. Hooper died. It can be found online in the usual places. All old episodes of Sesame Street are lost. Which is a shame because some of the pre-Elmo stuff was excellent television.
