John Schneider has a Christmas movie out where he plays a washed up actor best known for a TV series featuring the General Lee. In the fictional film, his new career — selling autographed toy replicas of the General Lee — is sidelined when popular culture deems the Confederate battle flag featured on the car a racist symbol. John Schneider's fictional character is shocked... shocked he tells you... to discover that the symbol is one of hate.
Brace yourselves. The movie trailer feels like something The Onion produced... but it is real.
P.S. - I spent more time than I’d ever publicly admit going down the rabbit hole of Schneider’s YouTube channel. It is unintentionally entertaining... like if you had a drunk uncle and he had his own YouTube channel. I’m compelled to keep going back to it.
