The Grand Tour host spent the year of Covid trying to grow crops and breed sheep. Add to that massive rainfall, massive red tape, and the fact Jeremy Clarkson is a massive c*ck, and many, many things go wrong.

Season Two has been given the green light

And Richard Hammond is getting a series on Discovery+ where he opens a custom car shop.

Has The Grand Tour been shelved, or just put on hiatus given the difficulties of travel right now?

Because, and this may be just me, I can really only handle Clarkson with someone else around to take the piss out of him.

The notion of this guy as a 'gentleman farmer' is not an incentive for me to watch.

The 20-year-old kid hired as a farm hand frequently took the piss out of Clarkson.

Yes, there will be more Grand Tour, but the all-boating episode last year was not received well by many fans of the series, and it took away a lot of momentum. In interviews, Clarkson and producer Andy Willman both cite the need to be in the editing booth as the reason they haven’t released more episodes. Basically for each epic adventure, five to eight cameras are running 12 hours a day or more for weeks at a time. That’s thousands of hours of footage for a 90 minute show… edit bays are typically tiny rooms with no ventilation… aka bad for avoiding Covid. So although they have shot footage in Scotland and elsewhere, assembling it is another story.
