I don't recall having listened to Dan Bongino, but he's likely been on a talk show I've watched.

Wasn’t Rush was off the air in most markets for the last several years? I assumed the EIB network died with him... or maybe it was wishful thinking?

It's Wikipedia, so take it with a grain of salt, but he still had the No. 1 radio show in America in 2019.

I remember when David Lee Roth got Howard Stern's slot when Stern went to SiriusXM.

Limbaugh was in almost as many markets as he's been for many years.  Enough that he continued to refuse to go on SiriusXM, to the joy of his stations.

It should be pointed that Bongino is not syndicated by iHeart's Premiere Radio Networks (the real "EIB Network"), but Cumulus-owned Westwood One.  Which means that he'll be on WLS in Chicago (with Limbaugh, the only day part where the once-legendary"Big 89" was in the Top 10 of the ratings), KABC in LA and Cumulus' other rightwing talk stations.  (In NY El Rushbo moved from WABC to iHeart's WOR some years ago--iHeart hasn't officially announced his replacement.  And 77's now owned by an NY supermarket owner and dabbler in rightwing politics who has received the most publicity from a Saturday night oldies block with the legendary Cousin Brucie, Tony Orlando of "and Dawn" and--Joe Piscopo.)

The problem for all concerned is that AM talk radio audiences are dying off with little or no chance of replacement.  The Proud Boys and the other alt-righties are spending more time on podcasts and YouTube videos than they are talk radio or Fox News or Newsmax or OAN.
