Useless to nondriving me. The local store offered a pickup window where its dining-room entry would have been, but it's allegedly only for folks who (1) ordered through the app (NOT the website) and (2) would still be driving. Delivery adds a minimum of $4 to the bill.

Not that I've gone there in years, but our "world-famous" beach-side Taco Bell here in Pacifica has a walk-up window for surfers and other beach-goers.

I have to confess that a spirited debate about whether or not Taco Bell qualifies as actual food led directly to me getting married.

You think I'm going to let you leave that slow curveball hanging like that?

Susan likes Taco Bell; I think it is a grotesque And unholy abomination. While debating the issue on Facebook Messenger, I told her the only solution was for me to take her to a real Mexican restaurant. She agreed. So I did. And now we are married.

She still likes Taco Bell, though.

At least she didn't put this guy in your bridal party:

I'm also assuming she didn't suggest anything in this collection:

or have them cater.  I'm also pretty sure you'd have refused to get married at the Vegas Taco Bell that will do that for you.

I am grateful she wasn’t aware of this (we very nearly had to visit the Taco Bell Hotel in Palm Springs until Covid reared its head and put a stop to that plan). When I shared this with her, she said that’d be a good place to renew our vows.

I'm with you on this one Kevin, i.e., I will only eat at a Taco Bell if it's absolutely necessary.  Most recently, when I was in Nashville last year, I arrived late and it was raining and there was a Taco Bell next door.  How lucky was I that counter service was closed.  So I decided to walk further, on the side of the highway, to a Waffle House.  I should never even have considered that Taco Bell.   Nothing beats a Waffle House.

It's been several years, but I remember eating a few times at a Del Taco when I was in L.A. -- and liking the food a lot.

Do you feel the same way about Del Taco?

Del Taco is better than Taco Bell, but my choice for Mexican fast food is Miguel’s Jr, an institution in Riverside County, but in recent years has expanded fully into Orange County as well. I’m allergic to citrus, and everything at Chipotle is “citrus infused,” so I don’t go there. When in the Midwest or Northwest, Taco Time is to be spat upon, not consumed.

I also like Waffle House, if only for the wide variety of people who populate the establishments... great people-watching and decent (if unhealthy) food

Thank you for the Miguel's Jr recommendation.  I've never been able to figure out what's so great about Chipotle, but there's one within walking distance, so I am there every once in awhile.

Also within walking distance is the restaurant the Bush family deemed as having the most authentic Tex-Mex food in the DC area (there are pictures of the Bushes on its walls).  I did carry out from there not too long ago.  It is a good place.

The "power bowl" is low calorie and quite delicious. They recently built a Taco Bell in our small town, so we wanted to try it. I was looking at the menu for something a little healthier so I gave it a shot.  It is only about 600 calories and very filling, with a nice assortment of meat, grain, vegetables, and dairy.
