I’m sure ther late night hosts will have a field day with this, which is of course the point. 

Still, choosing three out of work old farts (one of whom started in p*rn) to fix the problems of Hollywood, when most of the problems in Hollywood are due to old farts… that’s just spiffy.

It’s a job they don’t have to show up for and they can’t be held accountable for anything.

Hollywood has a litany of problems. AI encroachment. Out of state tax scams driving away filming. A glut of original content being largely ignored in favor of tired reboots and sequels. Streaming services and short form social media videos altering viewer expectations and experiences.

None of those things could ever be addressed by the guy from Rocky 5, or the guy from Lethal Weapon 12, or the guy from Mission Impossible 70. 

Clint Eastwood is more conservative than all those guys, and he’s equally old. Zach Levi is a proud member of the MAGA cult, and younger. Chris Pratt falls somewhere between them on the bathsh*t spectrum. But they wouldn’t take the gig because people still hire them.

Anybody who takes an interest in the entertainment business knows that change has to come from the corporate boardrooms or the financiers. Appointing 3 out of work actors is just performative window dressing.
