Guy Fired From 'SNL' to Guest Host 'SNL'--Wha?

Shane Gillis was hired by "SNL" in 1979 to join the cast--a week later, discovery of episodes of his podcast where he made racist and homophobic remarks caused him to be fired before he got on the air--he will host the next live episode on Feb. 24--WTF, Lorne?:

I'm not going to mention the angry tweets also mentioning Nikki Haley's cameo last night (and supposedly Dave Chapelle appearing during the goodbyes last week), since "SNL" has always done that sort of thing (there are some who still blame Lorne giving Trump a guest host gig for making him president, although full blame should be to Mark Burnett for hiring him for "The Apprentice" and making him a thing again long after Spy magazine went out of business).
