Afterwards, did he go to McDonalds, order a BigMac, then complain that every time he goes to McDonalds the food is always crap and the service is always horrible?

I don’t buy that analogy; Castro didn’t sign up to be a Fox News customer, he went in their air. The argument for doing this is to speak to the millions of voters who only watch FN. yes, many of them may not give a fair hearing, but if even a third do, he is significantly expanding the conversation.

After a Democratic candidate appears on FNC the network spends a couple of days bashing that candidate.

True. Also true they spend a couple of days bashing Democratic candidates after they don’t appear on Fox News.

Boycotting Fox News does not hurt Fox News. It only further restricts the range of ideas people who limit themselves to Fox News are exposed to.

Have their been any non biased polls which have pointed to any concrete shift in the political landscape after one of these Fox Town Halls? Because aside from one or two instances when a soundbite went viral, I haven’t seen any dramatic gains by candidates or elevation in the discussion of issues

I don’t know, but that is besides my point (though I do think Mayor Pete benefited from his appearance). Even if no minds are changed, it is more healthy to have people exposed to a broader range of ideas. And what do s the downside? “Legitimizing” Fox News? That ship has sailed. Fox News is a thing, and Democratic candidates boycotting it has zero impact on it.
