No word if NBC is involved.

Am I wrong, or was their series finale almost as big a slap in the face to fans as How I Met Your Mother’s?

Paul Reiser was on a recent Carson Podcast mostly to talk about There's Johnny. Mark Malkoff asked him about a reboot of Mad About You and Reiser said he felt they said all they had to in the original series and he felt like they wrapped it up in the last episode. Malkoff followed up  asking if that meant there was no chance and Reiser said, "Never say never."

Kevin that sounds familiar. That was a favorite show of ours and I seem to recall the finale being odd.

If memory serves it was set in the characters’ future (roughly present day now) and featured the characters divorced and embittered.

Wikipedia has a synopsis.  Mabel was played by Jeanine Garofalo.

...so it's only going to be available to subscribers of ONE cableco? I'm really confused by this development.

One cableco, or one website owned by a cableco? This Spectrum client knows nothing about a Spectrum channel.

As far as I can tell, Spectrum Originals is not going to operate as a linear channel, but rather as an on-demand programming service that's exclusively available to Spectrum video customers, including customers of their streaming-only TV Essentials package.

Looks like the first series to debut under the Spectrum Originals banner will be May 13: "L.A.'s Finest," starring Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union, a spinoff of the "Bad Boys" movie franchise.

I believe Spectrum Originals has also acquired the Sky One action drama Curfew. This is truly awful and I couldn't actually make it through the first episode. The bizarre thing is that they've got an excellent cast (also Billy Zane), but it's just a dreadful series. It's a kind of Mad Max/zombie mashup and the first episode in the first action scene has some CGI so bad as to be untrue. I mean gob-smackingly awful.

No idea about the rest of their fare, but don't worry if you're not getting this service about missing this particular show.

Lyle Lovett, the first Mr. Julia Roberts, will perform the tune for the new episodes, per his Instagram.

Carol Burnett is coming back as Helen Hunt's mother.

Has this thing even aired yet? The original had so completely jumped the shark by the end (it never recovered from the alleged infidelity plot) that I can't imagine it'll be anything but a stinkeroo.

It's being advertised on my cable system (Spectrum) as an On Demand offering that will be available next week on the 20th.  To whet everybody's appetites, they're currently offering the entire original run On Demand.  I had a lot of fun re-watching several episodes from the first couple of seasons, but I didn't watch much more than that and I'm not holding out any hope for the revival.
