UNI Anchor Quits--Was It Because of Trump Interview?

Leon Krauze has left the Spanish-language network Univision after 13 years, including anchoring their late-night newscast for the last two years--he said on Muskmedia that he was leaving without giving any details, although there are some (including blue-check Musk buttkissers) who think it is in protest over the softball interview of Dementia J. Trump last week by another reporter, allegedly arranged by Jared Kushner, and with scheduled ad spots for President Biden dumped along with a rebuttal by a Biden campaign employee:

The net, which in 2021 re-merged with its longtime primary program supplier Grupo Televisa of Mexico, has had a checkered history with Trump, including having anchor Jorge Ramos dumped from a Trump rally in 2015 and Trump suing the net over dropping the Miss Universe pageant he owned at that time in 2016 (which was settled).  The feeling is that Televisa's current management is more sympathetic to Trump than previous UNI management.

Trump is to the election cycle what the big West Coast baseball teams are to the World Series. The networks will do whatever they can to keep him in the game.

I assume you mean East Coast - the networks don’t particularly seem to care about the Dodgers or Giants. (I suspect if they could come up with a scheme to have a Yankees-Red Sox World Series while also preserving all the regular-season games they play against each other, they would.)
