David Benioff and D.B. Weiss sign with Disney/Lucasfilm for a new series of films set in that faraway galaxy (or thereabouts), distinct from the efforts of Rian Johnson and Mr Abrams.

Will that be before or after their Confederate States of America TV series?
"Confederate" was on the rocks anyway due to "Thrones" delays, and even if it recovers, the whole combination makes for a scheduling mess.
The article mentions that HBO had no comment.

Like Lord/Miller and some others before them, Benioff/Weiss apparently got snowed into thinking they'd have creative control, only to learn that when the planning begins, Kathleen Kennedy decides to flush 'em...
