RIP Peggy Lipton

Julie from the Mod Squad, Norma from Twin Peaks, and actual mom of Rashida Jones (which I did but know until I looked at her IMDb listing). Fans of the sitcom Wings might remember her as the hot school teacher Ms Jenkins. Died of cancer at 72.

I have a very indirect connection with Quincy Jones (friend of a friend), Peggy’s ex-husband, one reason I have been a long time fan of Rashida, and have kept up with Lipton over the years. Will always remember her fondly.

How sad.  I thought she was absolutely the coolest thing on the planet when I was a teenager watching her on Mod Squad, then I enjoyed her work on Twin Peaks as well.  Cancer sucks. May she rest in peace.
