I admit to being one of ~6 million that watched the golfing exhibition between Tiger and Peyton Manning, and Mickelson and Tom Brady. Like many I did it because I have not had live sports to watch in what feels like forever, but somewhere along the line what I expected to be lame and forgettable turned into something first enjoyable and then somewhat compelling.
Best lines:
From Tiger to Phil, who had “demanded” Tiger go up to green to mark his ball: “You want me to use my US Open Medallion? (Phil has famously failed to win that tournament)
From Brady to Manning, after Peyton missed a medium length putt: “Eli would have made that”
