The Sun dropped the bombshell Friday... the male personality (otherwise unidentified) was suspended Sunday... Beeb said they're talking with Metropolitan Police about it... the kid used the quid to fuel a crack habit...
Four presenters, between TV and radio, denied they were the "unsub" as questions increased about what TPTB at Broadcasting House knew and when they knew it...
And just like in Wolf-land here, there's always a twist... the kid, through his lawyer, called the paper's story "rubbish"...
Dang.

The Met has closed the investigation, with its Specialist Crime Command stating that “there is no information to indicate that a criminal offence has been committed. ”

But much as, say, the NFL tends to punish misguided players regardless of lack of criminal charge, Edwards is likely ruined as far as broadcasting employment... B

Interesting, I might have said that the NFL tends not to punish p,Ayer’s who commit violent crimes, or at least not punish them very long.

But a committee in the UK parliament's House of Lords has its own general periodic review of The Beeb ongoing... and questioned about the Edwards sitch amid concerns government is a bit too cosy with the pubcaster, culture secretary Lucy Frazer defended her meeting with director general Tim Davie, whilst the committee chairperson felt the chairperson of the Beeb's board would have been a better choice...
