Another big change is that advertising patches will now be allowed on uniforms (and all indications are that every team will be attempting to make use of the new revenue opportunity as soon as possible, so expect that even the vaunted Yankees pinstripes will be partially covered by the beginning of the season).
Once the NBA became the first of the "Big 4" American sports leagues to add them, and there was little if any pushback from fans, it was probably inevitable that they'd be added by others. (The NHL already has advertising on helmets, and will have ads on jerseys beginning in the 2022-23 season. The NFL appears to have no plans to add ads anytime soon.)
