I am really interested to see over the next day or two what the ratings and response to this program were from young adults, at whom it seems the show was targeted.  I found it to be among the worst Awards Shows I have ever seen, but I am aware that may be because I am so old. I was raised to expect jokes to be funny, and production to be coherent.

There were memorable moments in the program, almost all in the acceptance speeches - which, again, is why I think they should spend more of their time budget on making room for the speeches, and less on rap and dance numbers to random old TV theme songs.

Of course, any program that can not only cut to Zendaya in the audience a half dozen times, but then gaze on her lovingly as she wins an award, is going to have highlights.

The lack of respect shown over the years to Better Call Saul and it’s cast is stunning.

Okay, I guess I will check out White Lotus. No, I don’t think I can sit through a second season of Hacks.

...sad for 'Saul'...

...and not surprised that Oliver beat Colbert again.

Ratings: new low... under 6mil viewers. "MNF" across all its platforms, way more.

 Could hear television sets clicking off all over the country during the first 10 minutes. MNF probably got a boost from their new announcing team, but surely football was less of a competition than when the Emmys have been on Sunday nights in other networks?

Interesting that only 2M more people watched ABC than watched on the ESPN mothership--but half of the audience was OTA.

BTW, they were only about three minutes over on the Emmys.  It's Fox's turn next year, so there shouldn't be any problem with going over, since they're already going over the 10 p.m. news time.  But who's gonna host--Gordon Ramsay?

With last night's game being the first MNF of the season and the added story of former Seahawks QB Wilson returning to face his former team, football seemed extra likely to attract attention last night.
