No mention in the article of issue raised here a while ago, which is how they make money now that not used to establish ad rates -or is that really the case?

It does they they are working on a method of estimating streaming views.

ABC may have referred to Nielsen as a "media measurement company," but they also have a business unit that measures consumer buying behavior. In addition, they own Gracenote, which licenses media metadata to other services - for example, most cable and satellite providers use Gracenote TV listings for their on-screen displays.
