"TAR" premiere pushed back in favor of two new shows

If you recall, season 32 was already in the can, while the 33rd was shut down by virus restrictions.

May 20th brings "Game On!" (link to my post), the sports-quiz/activity game of which James Corden is an exec... then on July 8th comes "Tough As Nails," in which "everyday Americans" "will be tested for their strength, endurance," et al in "challenges that take place at real-world job sites." Phil Keoghan and his wife Louise are among that one's execs.

I am surprised that TAR was in the can for over 12 months. That's a long NDA to abide by.

Also... Shout out for nepotism on the exec producer front!   (I only say this in jest, as the article does not specify the spouse's former skills).

So...British Jimmy has himself a "Game of Games" now?

My hunch re: TAR - CBS is holding it back in case there isn't a season of Survivor ready for the fall - TAR can be slotted in really easily.  (In fact, I'd personally love to see alternating seasons of TAR and Survivor on a regular basis, rather than 2 seasons of Survivor running back to back and TAR in the summer, but that's just my opinion.)

More precisely, Ellen has a “League of [her] Own” now; after 13 series, British Jimmy had to give up the Sky One show’s presenter role full-time. Apparently, the commute’s become a bit of a slog.
