Since Netflix has sent out an E-mail of their daily U.S. countdown of programming that I can treat as a hard copy, let's play Casey Kasem and count them down:
10. COUNTRY COMFORT--Katharine McPhee plays a country singer-turned-nanny in a multi-cam 10-ep sitcom (created by "Miss Congeniality" author Caryn Lucas) that dropped on Mar. 19. A surprising 89% from Rotten Tomatoes.
9. NAILED IT! (DOUBLE TROUBLE)--The fifth season of the not-so-great American bake-off for incompetents dropped Mar. 26, this time a team season.
8. OPERATION COLLEGE BLUES: THE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SCANDAL--Doc with re-enactments about the scandal that Aunt Becky on "Full House" got involved in. Dropped Mar. 19, 88% from RT.
7. SEASPIRACY--Doc that blames the commercial fishing industry for ocean pollution. Dropped Mar. 24.
6. SECRET MAGIC CONTROL AGENCY--Hansel and Gretel become spies in this Russian CGI animated feature. Dropped Mar. 25.
5. DEADLY ILLUSIONS--Mystery author Kristin Davis and hubby Dermot Mulroney hire an innocent-looking young woman (Greer Grammer, Kelsey's daughter) to be their nanny and things go to hell. Dropped Mar. 18 as an indie pickup and not marked as a Netflix, original, 13% from RT.
4. YES DAY--Jennifer Garner at her perkiest lets her kids get away with anything in what could be called a PG-rated "The Purge." Dropped Mar. 9, 49% from RT.
3. COCOMELON--"Queen's Gambit"s come and "Edgerton"s go, but this series for pre-schoolers of "Barney" level children's music and crappy CGI animation shows up in the Netflix Top 10. Says something about pre-schoolers' tastes.
2. GINNY AND GEORGIA--The "Gilmore Girls" manque dropped on Feb. 24, a long time for most Netflix shows to stay in the Top 10.
1. WHO KILLED SARA?--The Mexican mystery series with 100% on RT dropped on Mar. 19 and a second season has already been announced for dropping on May 19.
Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for your toes.
