I wrote a short story in my junior high school’s oh so prestigious literary magazine about the Brady Bunch meeting the Bundys from Married With Children.  The focus of the story was about Greg Brady getting Kelly Buddy pregnant. It included a troublesome typographical error wherein Mr. Brady was supposed to be calling Greg from his bedroom to explain himself. It was supposed to read “Greg, get down here” but instead read “Greg, get down her.” I had to visit the principal over that one. Naturally, I blamed the editor of the magazine. Of course, I was the editor of the magazine. Anyway, the story ended in a fistfight not unlike the diorama.

That was three decades ago. The things my warped brain chooses to remember will always astonish me. Now if only I could remember where I put my keys.
