NBC's Regency-themed dating show has been sent off to sister cable channel USA Network after two episodes--USA will air it out of prime time at 11 p.m. ET on Wednesdays after their "Temptation Island" reboot, with the show streaming on Peacock thereafter:

The for-all-practical-purposes replacement is the second season of Jane Lynch's "Weakest Link" reboot, which premiered last week and will air in "The Courtship"'s time slot this Sunday, before an Adele special that aired in the UK on ITV in November at the same time her CBS special with the Oprah interview aired here.  On Mar. 27, "Link" will be back at its 9 p.m. slot after a repeat of the Peacock Net's Eurovision manque "The American Song Contest."

The British presenter of this show is a very likable chap called Rick Edwards, who also happens to co-present the breakfast show on BBC Five Live (news and sport station). He's mostly known as a British TV presenter having found success on E4 (sort of like MTV in the old days).

He happened to be this week's guest The Two Shot Podcast. This is an interview show with the British actor Craig Parkinson and tends to feature long-form interviews with actors about how they got their starts in the business.

Edwards isn't an actor but he is very funny, and he tells an enormously indiscrete story about working on The Courtship and the problems he has trying to inject humour into it (the network wasn't keen, but that's Edwards' thing). It must have been recorded before NBC whisked it off-network, although Edwards is smart enough to have perhaps seen the writing on the wall. However, he noted he still had more voiceover work to do.

Anyway, worth a listen of that sort of thing floats your boat.

(I met Craig Parkinson at the British Podcast Awards a couple of years ago when his show had just won a couple. I congratulated him and he was very charming about it.)

A few streamers here in the U.S. (believe Roku and Xumo) carry a 24-hour channel featuring episodes of the BBC quiz "Impossible," which Rick Edwards has hosted the last couple of years. He's a good host with a strong sense of humor.

Xumo for sure.  I watch it on on demand in order and am now on the next-to-last season.  He is good and has gotten better over the course of the run, especially since he was more borderline Anne Robinson-ish when the show started.
