"Jeopardy!" wades in (and backs out) of Middle East conflict

The final clue in the first round of Friday’s (daytime) episode of “Jeopardy!” asked for the country where the Church of the Nativity can be found.

 

Given the long-standing Israeli/Palestinian situation, the producers found the clue problematic during taping and replaced it. However, the original clue aired.

Someone noted that, when they came back from the break, the "wrong" contestant's point/dollar total had increased with no mention of the correction.

Better to let it lie, I guess.
