ABC Starts Daily Disney+ Newscasst

"What You Need to Know" (which has been the co-title of the midday "GMA3" since the pandemic started in 2020) will drop every morning at 6 a.m. on the streamer, a 6-8 minute summary anchored by James Longman and Rachel Scott--it joins a daily capsule "SportsCenter" from ESPN, the ABC News Now channel and other ABC News programs streaming on either Disney+ or Hulu:

The move of the "What You Need to Know" title would seem to indicate that "GMA3" is returning to the lite-and-brite featurey approach the program had before the pandemic. There are rumors that the hour may be moved to 9 a.m., making it the actual third hour of "GMA" and moving the technically-syndicated but on a helluva lot of ABC affils "Live!"  to 10 a.m. and with "The View" airing at 11 a.m. in all time zones.

Well, "Live!" has only been true in those markets that carry the show at 9 a.m. ET--and Tony PIgg and his replacement is always heard saying over the credits "this program was pre-recorded."
