No, not the Ed... the multi-purpose United Palace, "Home of Spiritual Artistry," Broadway around the 170s.

Normally shows do a 3pm matinee on Tony day, then dash over a few blocks to Radio City (or the Winter Garden or whatever) to perform on the Tonys.
Now, with the awards show moved over 7.5 miles north, and with actors having to fight New York traffic to get there on time (and hit the red carpet beforehand), my guess is that many shows will be cancelling their Sunday matinees that week.

On the plus side, it's a gorgeous theater that will probably look great on TV.

For quite a few years the United Palace was the home base of the flamboyant "prosperity gospel" evangelist Rev. Ike ("You can't lose with the stuff I use!").

Also worth noting that the theater has a heavy Lin Manuel Miranda connection - he spearheaded the fundraising campaign to rejuvenate the theater about 10 years ago.

WGA spikes the Tonys' waiver request... Actors' Equity joins the picket lines... voting for the awards underway, but actual presentation could end up giving way to mere website publication...

Broadway Twitter is divided between the union stalwarts and those unhappy that shows that are on the bubble like "Kimberly Akimbo" and "Some Like It Hot" (which, despite the fact that it stars a non-binary performer, has been criticized as being transphobic) will not get that sweet on-air promotion that could save the show by airing a song from the show to a national audience.  The response from the stalwarts usually is that the Tonys are an infomercial for Broadway, etc., etc.
