Canadian cable dispute. Eastlink vs Corus

Got a notice from my cable provider. First time I've ever seen this type of dispute myself.

Eastlink has notified their customers who subscribe to its cable television service that as of June 27, 2023 they will lose access to 33 television channels and Global OnDemand.

“We are reaching out to let you know on June 27, 2023 Eastlink will no longer carry Corus TV channels, which includes HGTV, W Network and Showcase.” says the letter to customers. “Global Television will remain in your channel lineup.”

Eastlink has told customers that they will do everything they can to ensure customer TV viewing experiences continue to meet their needs and provides value.

Oh no! You’re losing BC-1! Now who will tell you that there are 30-minute backups on the Lions Gate Bridge into Vancouver? 

I do recall Vidéotron (which is my provider) having some carriage disputes a few years ago, but I don’t recall actually losing any channels for any length of time.
