Just as he had sold rights to coverage of his real college/Olympic-style wrestling promotion to the Fox Nation streamer, which he co-owned with the UFC and others (it's Fox Nation's second sports commitment--I believe they've already streamed a Professional Bull Riders event). Fox has yet to say whether Fox Nation will be included in their new Fox One streamer.

Last year, on Peacock, I watched a documentary the WWE made about the 2009 Wrestlemania event. What struck me most (beside barely mentioning McMahon) was they did interviews with participants. All of them looked like guys I could see at the neighborhood bar or senior center. They were all happy about their time in wrestling and have dropped their characters and moved on. Except for Hulk Hogan - he could never let his character go.

He had nothing outside of his character. 

I can’t help but think of the late Peter Sellers, who said more than once that he has no idea who he was outside of the roles he played in movies.

Terry was Hulk, and that’s all that he was. There was a very brief window in my own life — maybe two months or so when I was nine-years-old — when I followed wrestling. I was by no means a Hulkamaniac, but he was a part of the pop culture of the day.

I will mostly remember him for the lawsuit which led to the shutdown of Gawker, but of course he didn’t sue them out of some righteous cause, so he doesn’t really get bonus points for that.

Dave pretty much nailed it.  Hogan was a racist, union-hating scumbag who had nothing without his gimmick, and has been coasting off his former popularity for 30 years. While I normally don't wish ill of the dead, I hope to hell the Iron Sheik meets Hogan at the entrance to wherever he ends up in the afterlife, breaks his back and makes him humble.

I don't feel like WWE has a large enough following here for this to warrant its own thread, but in related news, Brock Lesnar, who was named in the Janel Grant sex-trafficking suit against Vince McMahon, returned after the main event of WWE Summerslam (night 2) last night. In terms of story, it plays into John Cena's retirement tour, however there are a lot of fans on the socials who aren't happy with Lesnar's return given the allegations.
