Ask the advertisers on the ABC version. Whatever the Bristol Bunch loses on its linear channels, they more-than-make up on ABC and streaming.

Even a media person who covers the draft, onetime labour lawyer Mike Florio, called it "un-American" recently, although he is pitching a book...

I don’t care about any of that. Once upon a time the Super Bowl ended in early February and you didn’t hear anything about the NFL until you turned on the news  the day of, or opened your newspaper the day after the draft. Now as soon as the big game is over the mock drafts immediately start and even though they are meaningless they continue for two and a half months. It’s not like I’m looking for them or any NFL news. They just happen to occupy the most prominent part of sports sites and the twitter feeds of local beat writers.

Yesterday I was at lunch when the noon SportsCenter did a three-minute live segment on Best Fantasy League Defense/Special Teams, complete with Booger McFarland dialed in.

Smack dab in the middle of both the NHL and NBA playoffs (both of which ESPN owns rights to) and baseball starting to heat up and a variety of futbol leagues getting to the tail end of their seasons.

One can not escape The Shield.
