Every time I'd watch Monday Night Football I'd text a friend, "I can't believe there's someone on national TV named Booger."

Bristol-related: Sakes, Chris Fowler is busy as f***... with no college football to do this weekend, he'll be free to call the finals of the US tennis Open, then with his College GameDay mate Herby, do the front end of the first-week MNF double (it involves the Giants, so I'll see it on PIX11)

I used to have the exact same reaction down here in Tampa, first when he was playing for the Buccaneers in the early '00s, and then again when he first cut his teeth in the local sports talk radio market in the early '10s.

Nobody was more surprised than me when he parlayed his questionable radio skills at the regional level into a national TV gig at ESPN.  But more power to him.
