I can’t remember laughing, but I did smile several times. It’s a version of “It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World”, leaving me with the same sense of: “Given all the talent assembled shouldn’t this be funnier?”
Actually I did laugh once, near the end.
It is not the urbane, intelligent understated comedy of the Seinfeld show, it’s more the whacky, almost slapstick comedy that one imagines a guy like Seinfeld enjoyed watching Three Stooges reruns on TV as a kid.
The cast is a collection of people you know and like, know and don’t like, and kind of know and not sure if you like. I am a huge Sarah Cooper fan, and like her very much here, as she is about the only one who seemed to approach this as an actual job and film that she should try to be good in.
I do remember laughing at moments, but I just finished it and now I can’t tell you what I laughed at. If there was a script, it was not readily apparent. The movie should’ve been named “Who is that? They look familiar, but I can’t remember their name.” Honestly the constant cameos distracted me from the “plot” (sarcastic air quotes)
