It was nice to see Mitch McConnell eat crap after Jon Stewart successfully lobbied to get permanent funding for 9/11 First Responders.
I think we're going a little over the top with praise for Stewart, though. And I'm a Jon Stewart fan. I thought it was a bit much for him to salute the detective who died. What came to my mind is that people not wearing hats should not salute. Maybe that only applies in the military. A hand over the heart would be a more appropriate gesture.
Someone, I can't find the tweet now, said if Jon Stewart went to Iowa and did a decent job of connecting with the voters, he would win the caucus.
Am I wrong?
