It’s a relief to hear anything at all coming from the briefing room that isn’t either stone silence or personal insults in the direction of reporters.

I love her. Have watched her first two live, may try to find today’s. The obvious but true point is she seems like a real life CJ. Waiting for the honeymoon to wear off and see how she handles the real sparks, but fir now touching to see how much the reporters are just enjoying not having their lives endangered and their mission disrespected.

I’m indifferent to her, as I’ve yet to see anyone in the press corps act like a journalist and hold her accountable for not actually circling back or directly answering any hard questions. Telling them “it’s our first/second/third day and a lot has been going on” is a stop-gap, not an answer, and I’m sick of hearing it from her. If there was a journalist in the room, they’d be sick of hearing it, too.

Disagree. She unloads a ton of news, real substantive, detailed, news. They ask questions that there is no way she could have an answer to on the first or second day (“How much will Biden compromise with Republicans on cost of new Relief Bill? When is Biden going to call Putin and what will he say? What’s next in the relationship between the US and Brazil?”).

I have not seen her duck an actual question yet, or tell an obvious lie, attack the people in the Room, including the Fox a news guy and the Catholic Newsletter guy, both of whom she has called on without making fun of them.
