Do you like the xmas fireplace TV channel? Do you like scenery? Do you like a slow boat ride on a beautiful summer day? Do you love some history thrown in? If so, you might love the new TVO (TV Ontario) documentary "TRIPPING the Rideau".
* four hours, no commercials
* great natural audio (mild conversation)
* beautifully shot
* nice drone shots. The final shot is great, if you've never been to Ottawa before. Actually good if you've been there before too.
* history blended in.
Do you know about the Rideau Canal near Ottawa? if not, read the quick Wikipedia page. I boated a bit on the Rideau 2 years ago from Kingston up the first lock, went north a bit more then turned back.
I hope International people can stream this. Put it on a large screen and let it run.
you will want to stream that on a large TV. Four hours....on a boat from Manotick to the parliament locks.
if you want to listen about the production, the producer was on the Toronto Mike'd podcast.
you will want to advance to about the 54:00 minute mark to skip the Sportsline chatter... then they talk about the documentary. (As for the first 54 minutes... if you lived in Ontario in the 1980's and watched Global TV's "Sportsline" tv show (11:30pm weeknights) you will want to listen to Mark Hebscher as a co-guest)
I hope you enjoy the serenity of the 4 hours during your stay-home.
