ST Deep Space 9 - the concept was derivative of other shows and went against the exploration aspects of all the others.

I watched and waited for SOMETHING interesting to come through the wormhole.

Suffers from Gillican's Island syndrome'

Found the Ferengi Jar Jar Binks annoying but the rest of the cast was OK.

culture, some genuinely awful television still managed to find its way to
the mainstream. So, this week’s challenge is NOT to name the worst TV
shows. Instead, this week’s challenge is to name the worst TV shows (or
worst moments from TV shows) that regardless had an impact on American
culture (whether America liked it or not) .

In case you've forgotten, there were three remakes of "Fawlty
Towers"--"Snavely," with Harvey Korman and Betty White (1978 ABC pilot,
probably never aired), "Amanda's" with Bea Arthur (ABC, 1983) and "Payne"
with John Larroquette (CBS, 1999).

Before I give it more thought, my first choice would be The Dukes of
Hazzard. If clips are available, the Chevy Chase Show. I wouldn’t have I
Dream of Jeannie because people have good intentions in the show. If
Barbara Eden disavowed the show or said it was humiliating I might feel
differently.
 
If I could find clips from the news of the time, I would choose NBC News
stating that Richard Jewel was responsible for the Atlanta Olympic bombing
in 1996.

M-D November had "seen buzz about" one in the final-season-of-*Discovery* thread
back in March of 2023... with *SNW* about to end, and even though other
projects are rumoured, they have completed an opening season of this,
headed for a Jan 15th début and introduced Saturday (10/11) at NY Comic
Con... Holly Hunter plays the chancellor, Robert Picardo is back as the
holo-Doctor, and *Paul Giamatti! *has a recurring role as an alien villain:

Well, I really like the Picard series. My experience suffering through the
first two or three seasons of discovery were so painful and toxic for me
that has really alienated me from any other kind of contemporary trek,
Including watching the subsequent seasons of that one series, I can’t
remember the name of it. That was actually pretty good.

I echo your sentiments about Discovery. And I also liked Picard. The most
recent season of Strange New Worlds was more miss than hit, but overall I
enjoy that show. I am not optimistic about Academy. Set in the Discovery
universe, full of young cocky kids… reminds me of the satire done during
Stargate’s 200th episode when younger recasting occurred, and everybody
just made out.

SAG, who represents them, quickly informed staff they are not to respond
until a specific reason is given for the information.
 
Like it matters. There are no journalists at CBS anymore.

Entertainment - String Quartet Chamber Music, Pump organ and player piano.
harp guitar, monopoly and risk, poker and other gambling games and enjoying
quiet outdoors!
