NBC was reading down the CNN route.
The inmates rebelled and management blacked down.
But they WILL try again.
You have been warned.
Welker also needs to go!

This sad episode really illustrates what is wrong with TV News. The problem
with hiring McDaniel was not that she is a conservative voice incompatible
with the liberal lean of the MSNBC side of the family, which is how Conde
is spinning it. The problem is that she is an election denier (recently
unconvincingly reformed) and supporter and apologist for insurrectionists.
It is harder to put balanced voices on your opinion page when so many on
one side are now hostile to constitutional democracy, but that is due to
the weaknesses and lack of courage of a majority of the Republican Party,
not liberal intolerance.

If NBC had offered a job to Nikki Haley or Mike Pence, they may have been
criticized by the Chris Hayeses of the world, but could also have safely
ignored them. They are hyper conservatives who enabled Trump and advocate
many policies that I find horrific and immoral, but have not disqualified
themselves from participation in public discourse with polite society by
betraying the fundamentals of our Republic. McDaniel has.

If NBC was covering the last year of WW2 would they have hired Joseph
Goebbels as a paid consultant, just so they could claim to be giving equal
time to all views?

Kevin M, to moi, March 22nd:

Watched the full series this week. Some of the details I knew as it
happened, others I learned a few years ago, but there was a lot I did not
know. The names of the people who wrote letters to the court supporting a
pedophile (who was recorded admitting to the crime) and trying to blame the
victim was disheartening.

Until now, I thought the worst thing that ever came out of the “Nickelodeon
on Sunset” building was “The Chevy Chase Show.”

I wonder how much the Disney executives are praying they don’t produce a
second season focused on the Disney Channel?
Melissa P <takingup...@gmail.com>: Mar 26 06:51PM -0400

I don't believe I've ever watched anything on Nickelodeon, and my only
familiarity with Schneider is *Head of the Class*, which I did watch.

But since he's a graduate of my high school, the subject may be discussed
on the Facebook page, and I should know what's being talked about. So,
I've now set the DVR to pick up the series.

If Kathy Bates, also a graduate of my high school, becomes embroiled in
scandal, I'll be watching that, too -- and more enthusiastically.

Along with Paul Italia, proprietor of NY comedy club The Stand and a

Castellano, who presented the pre-reno *John F. Kennedy* at his site... the
plans, as Castellano told New York mag subsite Curbed, have been to have
clubs, restaurants, and hotel rooms aboard the vessel, but no pool...

You can't kill the damn thing with a Jo Koy monologue--after
better-than-expected ratings, CBS has signed a long-term contract for the
highly-problematic awards and also picked up another property from the
now-initial capped DIck Clark Productions (owned by Penske, who runs most
of the showbiz trades), the American Music Awards, last seen on ABC in
November 2022, joining the MTV VMAs, the CMT awards and the Grammys (and
the Recording Academy can't be too happy about this):
