This is not my find: Joe Coughlin posted it first, but he graciously is allowing me to share it.
I fall asleep at night to episodes of Mash right now. It used to be Simpsons, but because of life right now, in so many ways, Mash feels more right. I have shared on this board how much I love that series: from watching old episodes on WJBK when we'd get into suburban Detroit to visit relatives when we were growing up outside Chicago, to my grandfather's and father's love of the series, to the magnificence of Deal Me Out. I still want to grow up and be Hawkeye, at the ripe old age of 46.
A Canadian doctor shared her love of the show at this time. I broke down sobbing at the end of it, understanding what she meant, and what, in a world where everything is going insane, a character from a 48-year-old TV series still means to us.

Almost immediately, everyone spun to Twitter to see if Roger would respond. And of course, Roger replied, and forgave Leitch, because Roger's awesome.
Not that we didn't know this, but Alan Alda's awesome, too.
