I think the Buck detractors are very vocal and also few in number. Here’s Mike Florio speculating that having Buck and Aikman on MNF will drive ratings down for the Manningcast:

I am a vocal Buck detractor, but this is clearly an upgrade for MNF, which has, seemingly intentionally, put together the worst broadcast booth in any sport over the few years.

And, even so, I suffered through it, rather than the insufferable Mannings…

Who were almost as much insufferable as quiz show hosts, although we already spent enough time about the negatives of the "Capital One College Bowl," or "If ITV Tries to Pitch the BBC on Using This Format for 'University Challenge,' Jeremy Paxman Will Tell All Concerned to Go F Themselves."  Even Dick Cavett was better (Disney Channel, 1988?).

Coop was the Manning co-host. Eli only appeared as “Famous Ol’ Miss Alum #3.”
