Since Jost has been a topic of conversation recently (and because he has a book to plug), this interview may be of interest.

If this were normal times, I'd be attending the interview in person (I used to attend Post Live events about once a month).

Just also had a good interview on Marc Maron's WTF podcast. His mother knew Pete Davidson's father.

Since it's obviously 90 minutes after start time, I'd have to go look up the replay... here it 'tis:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lwipjPUtAQ (link; actual show starts about 30min on)

Were the pre-pandemic talks always held in the same place, Melissa, and where?

Yes, Bob.

The interviews -- always done by Post reporters -- are held in a small auditorium (200? seats) on the 4th Floor of the Washington Post building on K Street, NW between 13th and 14th.  Most are held at 9 am (continental breakfast served); a few have been held at 3, and an even smaller number have been held at 6.

There's an A list and a B list of invitees.  I'm obviously on the B (or lower) list and still griping about not receiving an invitation when Brad Pitt was on the program.
