Even a bigoted buffoon of a clock can be right twice a day. Doesn’t make him less of a bigoted buffoon. Maher is the king of championing celebrities hating people… he says he’s defending the First Amendment… he’s defending prejudice and ignorance, he’s merely taking advantage of the First Amendment to do it.

He was even crankier than usual last night, which I didn't think was possible. And less able to make logical arguments to score his prepared points.

He did not seem well. He was obviously angry at being kept off the air for two weeks.

I've been waiting for someone else to mention it, but he hasn't seemed well for quite a while. He was fighting some sort of throat condition for a good couple of months. I hope he's not allowing his distrust of the medical establishment to prevent him from dealing with it.

Maybe 15-years-ago, I watched a show (maybe called) “Iconoclasts” featuring two people from different areas of the creative arts spending the day together. Maher was hanging out with music producer Clive Davis, who was already older than dirt, but Maher was trying to school Davis on a healthy diet of holistic homeopathic ergonomic plant spores or whatever and trying to denounce medicine, and you could see Davis was humoring him, but he had to be thinking what the viewers were all thinking, which was that even then Maher looked like an emaciated vampire. I can’t imagine Maher looking or sounding worse than his typical normal.
