My memories of him were largely for working with Chris Bearde, but his first major job was head writer/producer of "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour," and after it ended he and Bob Einstein, the eventual Super Dave, went on to further successes like (Dick) "Van Dyke and Company" and "Bizarre"... as well as playing the Captain on the early "Mister Rogers"...
