Former Eurovision Contestants Call for Israel Ban

Just ahead of the final rounds of the Eurovision Song Contest in Switzerland net week, 70 former performers in the contest have called for the European Broadcasting Union to kick out Israel and state pubcaster Kan, citing kicking out Russia out in 2022 after they started the war with Ukraine and the controversies and protests at last year's Eurovision (where the performer was sequestered in her hotel room when not at the event, with numerous protests in the streets that did become violent at times)--the EBU is keeping Israel in for now, stating that it would be against the spirit of the event to take them out:
