CBS Radford studio facility has been sold

It’s been the home of everything from Gunsmoke to Seinfeld to Mary Tyler Moore to Big Brother. 

The group that bought it also bought CBS Television City. This article says they plan to invest money into the TV City studios, but I’ve read elsewhere that the officially historic site will ultimately be converted to residential use.

I’m sure a bunch of realtors in the Valley are salivating, but there is such a demand for studio space in L.A. that I wouldn’t hold your breath looking toward any residential conversions. (The former Warner Bros. ranch in Burbank once seemed like an obvious spot for a residential development, since it’s basically in the middle of a residential neighborhood, but the current owners are expanding its studio space as best they can.)
